Our All of Us Journey: Growth, Setbacks, and Future Outlook
Nearly two years ago, BioLinked embarked on an ambitious journey to usher in a new era of healthcare innovation through the All of Us Research Program (AoU). This initiative provided a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare, and alongside Scripps and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), we set out to make a lasting impact. Our team has invested significant time, resources, and expertise in bringing partners into the AoU program. Our vision was clear: to establish a network of 15 committed partners, collectively engaging over 100,000 participants in this pioneering program within five years.
We proudly launched our first partnership with Our Blood Institute in April 2024, navigating considerable delays to achieve this milestone. The momentum was well worth the wait; once operational, OBI’s collection efforts grew rapidly, displaying remarkable potential. Inspired by this progress, we expanded our network further by partnering with LifeShare Blood Center and soon began pre-onboarding three additional clinical research sites including the Clinical Research Payment Network (CRPN).
Each new partner and participant in this collaborative effort brings us closer to a healthier future. In alignment with this vision, BioLinked has carefully developed a robust pipeline, identifying numerous promising partner sites to propel our goals. Even at this early stage, our dedicated partners have already enrolled nearly 600 diverse participants, amassing essential data for this program.
While we anticipated expanding on this early success, a recent update from Scripps indicated that due to increased budgetary constraints and reduced NIH motivation to onboard additional sites, the decision was made to conclude our AoU partnership as of November 11. Our team is now focused on ensuring a thorough, seamless transition, wrapping up all program elements and empowering our current partners with the guidance and resources needed to sustain their accomplishments and build upon them.
This unexpected development highlights the dynamic nature of our field and only strengthens our resolve. Participating in the AoU program was a remarkable and inspiring journey. Our commitment remains steadfast; with a clear focus on connecting clinical research opportunities to our partners and optimally matched participants, we continue moving forward—motivated and prepared to forge new paths in advancing the future of healthcare.
We look forward to working alongside you for many years to come. Let’s continue to connect together, so we can cure together.
